In the summer of 2004, Marina travels to Vigo to meet her paternal family for the first time and obtain a signature needed for a scholarship application. When she arrives, she finds herself navigating unfamiliar relatives, long-buried silences and inherited memories. As past and present intertwine, Marina pieces together fragments of her family history and can at last relive the fragmented memory of the parents she can barely remember.
