Join us to watch a selection of the best new short films from Catalonia as selected by the festival team. This year’s programme will bring us from the tense drama of The Pyre, to the tender queer romance of Born at Night. Plankton explores masculinity in the face of impending fatherhood, and Snippets sees the return of festival favourite and Cannes Palme d’Or winning director Juanjo Gim\u00e9nez to Scottish screens. Our Room is a short by CFF guest Jaume Claret Muxart (Strange River), which you can enjoy here before meeting him for a Q and A in Glasgow later in the festival!<\/span><\/p>\n

Short film has always been an incredibly important part of the Catalan Film Festival, and this year’s offering continues to show the incredible quality of the work coming from the region.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Accessibility:<\/h4>\n

This programme will screen with English descriptive subtitles, transcribing both dialogue and key audio information from the film such as indicating who is talking or sounds like [kettle whistling]<\/p>\n
