📅 Monday 30th March, 8.30pm
📍 Filmhouse, Edinburgh
Sixteen-year-old Dídac and his family spend their summer holidays on a bicycle trip along the Danube. An unexpected encounter with a mysterious boy changes the course of the journey, awakening new feelings in Dídac and gently unsettling his relationship with his family. Strange River is a tender, coming-of-age drama that flows like its title, blurring the boundaries between memory, desire and self-discovery.
Strange River has its Scottish premiere at CFF after a world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival and was recently nominated for two Goya awards (Best New Director and Best New Actor). The screening will be followed by an in-person Q and A with director Jaume Claret Muxart.
